In between the drama in the US with the elections and in Israel with the firing of Gallant, an important development has passed under the radar: that the Israeli Film Review Council under the culture ministry is now officially exercising vetting and censorship of all films screened in Israel.

Its latest "victim" is "1948 – Remember, Remember Not", an Israeli documentary about 1948 produced by an Israeli director and funded by public broadcaster KAN11 TV.
