Courtesy of @zoom_earth , here is what the #LAFires looked like from space earlier today (time in UTC, I think):
A satellite view of earth above Los Angeles showing a massive amount of smoke drifting mostly from two points near Los Angeles out towards the Pacific Ocean.
The same satellite view, this time with red markers indicating hot spots; most are active wildfires. There are many of them, the largest of which are very close to Los Angeles.
