there's loads of 'em round my way, middle aged women who hate immigrants and vote Reform but will raise money for stray dogs/foxes ( although they tend not to keep cats as much, which suggests a controlling/authoritarian streak)

i love animals, but dont get folks who care more for stary animals than refugee humans...

they invariably only tend to mostly care about dogs and horses, animals they can control..
