Thanks for the reply. I understand. I feel the best parts, for me, are playing, noodling around on a guitar, writing stuff out, organising the ideas, and then the great fun of recording. Then I put stuff "out there" and then don't have the wherewithal to do much else (I'm really shy). My fedivison experience was fun (one year missed, last year took part) despite the result.
One idea for levelling #Fedivision again could be to have categories? Though I'm not sure how to do that as part of the charm in previous years has been all the genres in together...
Incidentally, I listened to all the entries last year before voting but it took me several days and I had to keep detailed notes... I suspect that's not something most people are prepared to do!
Yep, I also spent several days of listening to each and every track (except one or two which primarily consisted of noise)… and yeah, it's not something one can expect of the listeners.
Categories would help, but I agree, it's a dilemma, and I too like to discover things that are outside of my usual realm.
Afaik the team is quite aware of the problems. Maybe they will come up with something. But I honestly don't know how it can be tackled keeping the spirit.

As a community, we may need something to replace Eurovision 😞

Ah, Fedivision sounds much better! I think I heard about that last time but didn't see what was going on, I'll look out for that this time.

I don’t know.
I hope so.
I’ve only done one,
