It's weird how "I'm autistic" has become shorthand for "I'm weird and/or an asshole about something but you can't criticize me for it".
Same way that being OCD has come to mean "I'm mildly pedantic about doing things a certain way, even if it means I put other people out with my inflexibility"

Instead of what it actually means to those of us with the diagnosed condition.

No, I am not bitter. Why would you think that?
Everybody's always looking for excuses rather than trying to be better.
Wow! Ableism AND generalising in one toot! #Toodles
⬆️ @Tooden

Another example of someone jumping in on a conversation between others to carry out #vigilanteJustice 🙄

People have opinions on million different things, not all of which one need to agree with, but what does it say about one who tries to silence and permanently blacklist another on the basis of a single toot?

Glen calls himself antisocial and a jerk. He's not trying to 'get better'.
As someone who HAS an often misused/misclaimed neuro-divergence I do not at all see his comments as ableist.

He's calling out a group of people who use our conditions as casual excuses for getting out of responsibility. These people exist and they do us harm. THEY are being ableist.
I am #ActuallyAutistic. My son has Chronic OCD. I do see his comments as Ableist. I see him as being lazy in his attitude, and he should do better.
As we are not a monolith, we have the right to disagree with each other about this.

And clearly we do. I respect your opinion, but I do not share it.
