Oh it is, on both counts I guess (re autism & “causes”), but the fact that it is being raised again, cementing the negative view of autism amongst many, is contributing to anxiety. The idea that benefits could be cut & eligibility reduced, along with fears of a eugenicist agenda, is very frightening for many in the US right I think, & that anxiety is contagious.

I think it's being used in the US as a wedge to open a door. Review the link, come up with some hatchet job report that claims to find something, similar to the Cass report in Britain, and then use it. Not only to discredit vaccinations, but to damn autistics to needing some sort of cure, or treatment. With all the potential horrors that could entail. Although, I really hope that I'm wrong.
@actuallyautistic I don't think you are. It's ironic that I've been officially diagnosed far too late to get support but just in time to be sent to a camp.
It also seems incredible to me that anyone would seriously believe that vitamins would prevent measles. Brainworm Guy is even demanding that cereal manufacturers remove artificial dyes from cereal, which is another debunked myth about food additives 'causing' ADHD. @actuallyautistic
