Labor and the Coalition just combined to block referring the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Reform) Bill 2024, which will see them receive $140 million in public funding per election, to committee for review.

(That's them snuggled up together on the right of screen. Sent enough members to vote down the Crossbench.)

The bill was introduced to parliament today and the majority of members have not even had time to read it.
