Interesting and awesome potential outcome of the Albanese Govt's attempt to ban Under-16s from social media.
Do children have an unassailable implied right to political free speech under the Australian constitution?
With the enormous cash of commercial social media platforms behind the argument, we may be about to find out the answer and High Court precedent is a resounding, 'Yes.'
Pity the poor teachers who try to shut down a smart-arse if that one gets through, or a government that attempts to stand in the way of a child lead Climate Change protest.

By going after children - dismissing them as a class that doesn't vote and is therefore of no political threat - Labor may have opened a door to the rights of under-18s that could be felt by institutions and governments for generations.
'Fuck off, adults. The High Court said I can have my say on this and I bloody well will.'
Let's go.
