Contraception is next in line at SCOTUS
SCOTUS has agreed to hear Kerr v. Planned Parenthood. In which the question is whether or not the Medicaid Act can be used to block South Carolina's law preventing Medicaid funds from being used to pay for ANY medical services at ANY facility that also offers abortion.
For lots of low-income women Planned Parenthood is the only possible access to contraceptives beyond what can be obtained over the counter. Low income users of contraception today, ALL users of contraception tomorrow.
Keep in mind, the medicaid money is just the beginning, same as the Hyde Amendment was just the beginning for abortion access. #Project2025 already contains many plans for more restrictions on contraception, and for serious Christian nationalists the goal is a total ban.
