#Palestine / Massacre at Kamal Adwan Hospital
Israeli forces attacked Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, killing four doctors and numerous other people, and injuring dozens more. Eyewitnesses and the hospital director, Dr. Hussam Abu Saifya, described the attack as involving airstrikes, intense gunfire, and the forced evacuation of patients and staff.
The Israeli military detained numerous young men, destroyed medical supplies, and severely damaged oxygen generators, leaving only two inexperienced surgeons to treat the injured. The Indonesian medical delegation, the only surgical team at the hospital, was forced to leave.
This raid, the second on the hospital since October 5th, follows a renewed Israeli incursion into northern Gaza, resulting in over 3,700 Palestinian deaths and 10,000 injuries, according to Gaza's Government Media Office. Following the raid, hundreds of bodies and wounded people were found in the streets surrounding the hospital. A separate drone strike killed a 16-year-old boy entering the hospital's X-ray department on Thursday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that there is no evidence of a warning before the shelling of Kamal Adwan Hospital, and that the hospital is currently operating at minimum capacity.
At least 1,050 health workers have been killed since the start of the war, according to the Ministry of Health in Ramallah.
