Satirical news publication The Onion has bought Alex Jones' Infowars at a bankruptcy auction backed by families of Sandy Hook Elementary families who are owed more than $1 billion in defamation judgments by Jones. Infowars' website, social media accounts, studio in Austin, Texas, trademarks and video archive are now owned by The Onion, whose CEO Bryce P. Tetraeder said: “No price would be too high for such a cornucopia of malleable assets and minds.
