A court in Iran has issued DEATH SENTENCES FOR SIX PROTESTEOS linked to the "Ekbatan case," who were arrested in 2022 during the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising.
This case stems from protests in October 2022 at the Ekbatan Complex, during whichrmanli Vardi, a regime militiaman (IRGC’s Basij member,) was killed.uthorities reportedly arrested over 50 residents from Ekbatan, with some charged with Moharebeh (waging war againstllah.)
This verdict was issued following the final session of the Ekbatan trial last week.ccording to the lawyer for one of the defendants, the death sentence was issued against the dissenting opinion of the presiding judge and was determined by newly appointed judges.
These six individuals and their lawyers repeatedly denied the charges.
