Artifact from Filipovka Burial ground (4th Century BC), located in the Orenburg region of Russia.

The burial belongs to the Early Sarmatian culture of the southern Ural region. The outer ring has alternating vortex symbols, inflow and outflow, a ring of energy, making it a form of ouroboros.

Cool aerial shot of Chand Baori, a huge stepwell in the village of Abhaneri in Rajasthan, India.

It is about 30m deep into the ground and is one of the largest of its kind in India. It is believed to have been first built in 8th or 9th Century AD, with later additions over the centuries since.

The ‘melted’ stairs and fascinating reliefs in Temple of Hathor in Dendera, Egypt.

Temple has been modified on same site starting as far back as Middle Kingdom (2030-1650 BC). Existing structure began construction in late Ptolemaic period at time of Ptolemy Auletes, 54 BC.

A replica of "Argo", the mythical ship that bore Jason and the Argonauts on their heroic quest for Golden Fleece, sails in Corinth canal in Korinthos, some 80kms west of Athens on July 2, 2008.

Volunteers have been training for a year and a half to relive mythical voyage of Jason and Argonauts from ancient Greek legend.

The 50-oar ship carries a crew from all 27 European Union member-states and will sail a total distance of 1200 nautical miles from Volos to Venice.

Ancient Greek Clay Anthrakia; also known as Charcoal Stove, used for cooking and heating, commonly used on Island of Delos, Greece (6th-1st Century BC). With an extremely impressive design, made of clay, it served needs of household like electric stove today.

Shambles, an old street in York, England; and one of best-preserved Medieval Shopping Streets in Europe. With its cobbled streets and overhanging timber-framed buildings, some dating back as far as 14th Century AD.

Today, beautiful old buildings have been restored and now house cheerful cafés, quirky boutiques and even a coin & stamp dealer and smells are rather more pleasant with aromas from chocolate, fudge and sweet shops, clothes, accessories and gift shops.
