A friend of mine recently died in a hospital,
After they've been untreated and misunderstood for basically their entire life.
They were intersex, but instead of acknowledging that our bodies do not always fit into stupid societal norms, they forced my friends genitalia to closer match their imagination of what their body has to look like, and when they got sick no-one took them being intersex into account during their "treatment", so they were just given meds and kept running until they eventually collapsed and supposedly died of "organ failures" in a German hospital.
They were so fucking desperate to find help in Germany.
So many names. So fucking many people who've lost their lifes to this madness.
So i keep remembering them, and i keep being reminded of why I am still here, still fighting.
Because I don't want to see more of my friends dying.
