Yes, it's an open platform so developers are free to make apps for any platform 👍

You can also use Pixelfed entirely through a web browser on a computer or phone or tablet, because the website is really good.

In fact the website version has the most features, and a lot of people use Pixelfed by installing the website as a "web app" on their tablet or phone:

Interessant war der Hinweis auf Web App. #Friendica lässt sich als #WebApp ohne die zusätzliche Last des Browser auf dem Desktop als Icon speichern. Wer nicht auf eine dedizierte App warten möchte und mit der Webseite zurecht kommt, für den ist das eine tolle Lösung. Ich schreibe den Kommentar gerade in der Web App und bin völlig zufrieden.

Danke auch an diejenigen Administratoren die dies möglich gemacht haben 👍

Asking for an actual opinion, as I have no idea where to start and don't want to sign to the Peertube equivalent of mastodon dot social. What would you say is the best general interest Peertube instance for watching AND uploading videos?

If you just want to watch and interact with videos, it might be easier to follow accounts from Mastodon etc.

You only really need to join a PeerTube instance if you want to upload videos, and they can usually be viewed and followed from any Mastodon etc instance.

The reasons for this are a bit complicated to do with differences in safety and "backfilling" on PeerTube and Mastodon. Basically PeerTube is currently more suited to publishing vids, Mastodon to viewing vids.

As far as I know yes, but I'm not sure exactly which repo it will end up in.

It might be that you have to use Pixelfed's repository to install it through F-Droid.
