in New Hampshire they’ve been devastating to all the kids.

In 2020 we had a bunch of charter schools open up, at least three of them were shut down halfway through the first school year because the owners embezzled so much money they couldn’t stay open.

Then in 2021 the bus driver shortage hit. These charter schools need to have bus drivers to pick up kids all over the place, plus the public schools needed the bus drivers too. So what happened when there wasn’t enough was that the public schools had to stop doing sporting events and Field trips because they had no way to get there.

I don’t think it even took until 2022 for the public schools to become so defunded by this school choice voucher scam that it actually violated our state constitution. The state was ordered by the court to fully find the public schools.

We don’t have sales tax or income tax here, and this nanny state refuses to legalize cannabis like all the states around us, so they needed to increase the property taxes to fund the schools. There’s no way they’re increasing the business taxes, so it’s all on the property taxes.

I don’t know how the schools are doing but I’ve been seeing people scream about property tax increases for a couple years now. And a charter school still sends the bus for the kids who live here so I guess that one is doing OK.
