One of the recent documentaries I watched, directed by a survivor, depicted one of the most oppressive environments I've *ever* come across... and I'm a cult researcher, not easily shocked. While that "school" closed, the parent company still operates, entirely unchecked.

The people who run this will have personal, recent, direct experience in how to do it. And how to profit from it.

The appropriate context when reading that order is the worldview these people support & their behavior. No need to debase yourself by pretending they mean anything but what we know they do.

my state has a “momnibus” Senate bill being heard in Committee on the 19th (SB246)
and it’s creepy AF.

I mean on one hand it’s great because it’s going to require depression screenings periodically in new parents or people who have had a pregnancy loss, but “medical terminations” is also on the list where people would get regular mental health screenings for a year or two after, and since it has been introduced by Republicans I find it to be a little terrifying.

First of all how are they going to know who had medical terminations to know who is entitled to have their insurance company cover these screenings? I understand that if it’s done in a hospital that bills the insurance company the code that says medical termination, sure. But if I go to Planned Parenthood and pay cash I don’t want them sending my name to the state of New Hampshire so they can send the psychiatrists to my house.

Also we don’t know that they won’t change the definition of depression, they can. They’ve been changing the definition of vaccine and disease and excessive deaths for years.

Who’s to say you won’t get diagnosed with depression because you don’t want to have sex with your husband the moment the clock strikes six weeks after birth or whenever the doctor says it’s safe to have sex again? Will new Moms be diagnosed with mental illness if they aren’t keeping up with the housework and making dinner every night for their husband?

I’m Childfree by choice and I support women’s right to choose the life they want to live and this bill sounds OK but it’s kind of terrifying to me because I know the Republicans aren’t trying to do something nice for women. It’s a trap.

How do they find people to force them to both submit to these screenings and provide honest answers to the questions?

In particular, how do they find those of us who do not have a doctor AT ALL due to distrust and fear of this sort of thing?

That article would be a lot more useful if the reporter had reported on whether or not these farms would have fences around them and locks on the gates.

If this is to be locked facilties, this becomes a carbon copy of how the Holocaust started, with "mentally defective" folks rounded up.

Note that by banning tech this plan aims to impose complete isolation from the outside world.

If this is implemented as court-ordered "treatment" or as extrajudicial roundups, it crosses a very hard red line. We cannot allow another Holocaust, no matter what the price of stopping it or who we have to right.
