Almost two weeks ago, Americans took to the polls, racking up 76,429,164 votes for #Trump while #Harris received 73,736,923 (according to Wikipedia today).

Since there are about 245,000,000 eligible voters, that makes it about 94,833,913 voters did not vote - the majority of the voting population.

Running those numbers:
Trump - 31.2%
Harris - 30.1%

That makes it 38.7% of the voting population did not vote. That's more than either candidate was able to attain.

Which begs the question - how many more people would have made the effort and how would the election have turned out, if there was one more option:

You get much takeup on this? There was a flurry on this a week or two ago on Threads, based on the same source but seems to have died down since. Seems like no one wants to get dragged down the rabbit hole, including me. On the other hand, to quote the title of an early Supertramp album, it potentially has all the makings of a “Crime of the Century.”
Well, Schumer is just the guy to ignore it.. it's typical of why we lose.
The Blue Dogs are all in cahoots. Totally corporate owned. Schumer as Senate head has been a disaster. Not what we needed in these dangerous times.
