After WWII #Britain became a #colony in the #US

In the past 50 years or so, the US has progressively been colonised by the #Zionist entity called “#Israel” until, in the present day, it’s now clear that the parasite has fully occupied its host’s brain & central nervous system!

As the US-Zionist Imperium draws to its blood-soaked dénouement, when #Netanyahu tells #Trump and #Starmer to “Jump!”, they both ask “How high?”

Was passiert im echten Leben (außerhalb unserer fast CDU freien Echokammer)?

US-based auto makers & suppliers will be hit very hard by extreme #tariffs . Some might even fail unless subsidized by the US gov’t. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it takes time to shift supply chains and manufacturing methods.

Interestingly, though, #Tesla stands to benefit over its competitors.

#MyThoughts (cont.)

The US has been a net importer for much time (consumer spending makes up ~68% of GDP) and its citizens, the consumers, are used to having much purchasing choice.

Pushing the country to fundamental economic change through #tariffs will inevitably isolate the #USA while hurting its economy.

Prices will rise per free market principles of supply & demand unless they are set by the State (meaning #Trump — is that where he’s going when threatening companies?).

So #MyThoughts

This is not free market capitalism. It is ultra protectionist quasi-mercantilism. He’s treating the US like a developing country with an emerging market, trying to push it to become a net exporter (vs. importer) by force at the expense of other nations and the US economy (at least in the short-term).

And absolutely - US auto makers / suppliers would have to raise prices to meet their bottom lines when their COGS suddenly increase because of tariffs.

#USA #trump #tariffs

Trump warned US-based automobile manufacturers not to raise prices when his substantial auto-industry tariffs go into effect, leaving car makers fearing retribution.

Those automakers and industry suppliers (particularly in Detroit) have made clear there is little they can do BUT raise prices in the face of #tariffs.

Bringing more factories back to the U. S.— a tenet of Trump's tariff strategy— can take years to make happen.

Trump Warned U.S. Automakers Not to Raise Prices in Response to Tariffs Threat came in a call earlier this month, in which carmakers feared punishment if prices go up

When President Trump convened CEOs of some of the country's top automakers for a call earlier this month, he issued a warn- ing: They better not raise car prices because of tariffs. Trump told the executives that the White House would look unfavorably on such a move, leaving some of them rattled and worried they would face punishment if they increased prices, people with knowl- edge of the call said. Instead, Trump said, they should be grateful for his elimination of what he called former President Joe Biden's electric- vehicle mandate, which involved subsidies and emissions requirements to encourage electric-car production. He made a lengthy pitch for how they would actually benefit from tariffs, two people on the call said, adding that he was bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. and was better for their industry than previous presidents.

Accessed: 27 March 2025 at 1930 PST
The tariffs would be "great," Trump said, according to one of the people. On Wednesday, Trump announced a 25% tariff on all imported vehicles and parts starting April 2, a move almost certain to force American carmakers to raise prices on customers. Most automakers depend on parts and materials from other coun- tries to make cars, including vehicles assembled in the U.S. "You're going to see prices going down, but going to go down specifically because they're going to buy what we're doing, incentivizing companies to-and even countries-companies to come into Amer- ica," he said at the event.

Trump's relationship with automakers since taking office has been a rocky one, illustrating one of the challenges so far to his economic orthodoxy. The president is trying to curb inflation-voters' cost-of- living concerns helped fuel his 2024 vic- tory and are now one of his top vulnerabil- ities, experts say —while imposing tariffs on industries such as auto manufacturing that he says will remake the U.S. trade order. Detroit's automakers and industry suppliers in particular have made clear there is little they can do but raise prices in the face of tariffs. Bringing more factories back to the U. S.— a tenet of Trump's tariff strategy-can take years for car companies to make happen. "Tariffs, at any level, cannot be offset or absorbed," Ray Scott, chief executive of parts supplier Lear, wrote in an email Tuesday to employees that was viewed by The Wall Street Journal. "A holistic, industrywide approach will be necessary to mitigate the impact."

"Since the Trump administration moved to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau last month, the bureau has dropped nine lawsuits that it had brought on behalf of consumers.

The actions effectively freed major financial firms like Capital One and the mortgage giant Rocket Homes from the threat of consequences for their alleged significant wrongdoing, shocking consumer advocates and raising questions about the future of America’s consumer watchdog. For their part, when the cases were dropped, the companies lauded the decisions, with a bank spokesperson welcoming the dismissal of the case, “which we strongly disputed,” and Rocket Homes calling the suit an “empty claim.”

But the administration’s new hands-off approach to enforcement at the CFPB extends far beyond those public lawsuits. Behind the scenes, dozens of ongoing investigations into alleged corporate malfeasance are now frozen at the agency, potentially denying accountability and financial relief for untold numbers of consumers, a ProPublica investigation has found.

Under a stop-work order issued by the agency’s new leaders, CFPB investigators have been unable to press forward on probes into companies whose products and services are used by tens of millions of Americans, including Carvana, the online used-car retailer; Mr. Cooper, one of the country’s largest mortgage servicers; and CareCredit, a leader in medical credit cards, according to multiple people with knowledge of the matters."

"According to six people who have worked closely with him across Amazon, Blue Origin and The Washington Post, the decisions are part of a marked shift in Bezos’s strategy towards Trump. These people painted a picture of a shrewd capitalist, making practical calculations to protect his businesses.

But they also believe Bezos is operating with a dose of fear about Trump, as well as resentment towards what he considers to be the Democrats’ “vilification” of Big Tech during the Biden administration.

Several of these people pointed to Amazon’s loss of that $10bn contract for the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure project (Jedi) — the knockout punch of Bezos’s ugly battle with Trump during his first term — as a watershed moment.

“There was a joke at the time that it didn’t cost Jeff Bezos $250mn to buy the Post, it cost him $10bn,” the newspaper’s former editor Marty Baron tells the Financial Times.

A person who met Bezos days after the Pentagon blow says he was “deeply hurt” by the ordeal. “He sat there going: ‘This is not right.’”

For Bezos there are enormous financial risks to Trump 2.0. His business interests are vulnerable to the tax and tariff debates in Washington, and hold tens of billions of dollars in government contracts spanning national security and space. They are also subject to significant oversight and pressure from regulators.
Perhaps most important to Bezos is the future of Blue Origin, his passion project that aims to make space travel accessible, as the company vies to win US government contracts — often in competition with Elon Musk’s SpaceX."

"What has been accomplished by these strikes, and will they actually work? The answer is plainly a negative one. The air strikes may have killed some Houthi leaders, but there is no shortage of others who will take their place, just as a year of decimating Hamas ended with the group simply having recruited the same number of fighters it lost, according to former secretary of state Antony Blinken, and still posing a threat to Israel’s security, according to the most recent US intelligence assessment.

More than a year of strikes by Biden didn’t end the Houthis’ attacks on shipping — as the former president famously commented, “Are they stopping the Houthis? No. Are they going to continue? Yes” — and so far, Trump’s bombing has only driven the Houthis to escalate their attacks and take the fight directly to US vessels. Before that, the Houthis withstood half a decade of much more brutal warfare at the hands of Saudi Arabia, which similarly failed to dislodge them despite creating a famine in the country and killing hundreds of thousands of Yemenis. It’s hard to believe it will work this time.

It seems, then, that Trump’s air strikes are the worst of every possible world: they have a dreadful human cost, they’re unconstitutional, they’re putting Americans in danger, and they are unlikely to even accomplish their ostensible goal. It’s not surprising all these facts have taken a back seat so far in reactions to the story. But if the press continues to ignore them in its discussion of the scandal, it is failing the American public."

The United States is indeed becoming a very funny country. Some recent scenarios seem to have be taken from a black comedy movie/TV show :-D

"America’s top law enforcement agency is pimping itself out to corporate America to protect business executives from the American people, according to an FBI threat assessment marked “Law Enforcement Use Only” and reported here for the first time.

The FBI assessment, “Heightened Threat to Chief Executive Officers Following the Shooting of a Healthcare Senior Executive,” is dated February 19, and is a striking illustration of the new and growing Domestic War on Terrorism that I’ve been writing about.

The assessment, and statements from top Trump officials, seek to label growing outrage against corporations as terrorism. The Trump administration is particularly spun up about the spate of arson and vandalism attacks against Tesla automobiles and facilities since its CEO became plenipotentiary to the world’s most powerful man."

"If criminals fail to follow the law, does that mean the government shouldn’t follow the law either?

The purpose of due process is to make sure the government doesn’t punish innocent people. The way it works is that when the government makes an accusation against someone, that person is then allowed a court process where they can defend themselves. The purpose of this process is to make sure that the government can prove its case against someone before punishing them.
(...)
Of course, there are costs associated with court processes. Former President George W. Bush once acknowledged how liberal democracy can be inefficient: “If this were a dictatorship, this would be a heck of a lot easier. Just so long as I’m the dictator!”

But the cost of the government not being forced to prove its case before punishing people is that you end up punishing innocent people. There’s reporting out there that suggests the administration may be deporting people on the basis that they have football tattoos; the tattoos are alleged to be tied to the Venezuelan gang mentioned above.

Almost all Americans would say we don’t want violent criminals entering and residing in our country illegally. But did people really vote for Trump so that he would deport people based on mere suspicion without having to prove that the people being deported actually are violent criminals?"

"The app’s security is viewed as fairly strong due to its robust privacy features and minimal data collection, as well as default end-to-end encryption of all messages and voice calls. The app also includes a function that deletes all messages from a conversation within a set time frame, adding an additional layer of data protection. But experts agree that it shouldn’t be used by government officials as an alternative to communicating through more secure, sanctioned government communications — which Signal is not.

“It’s so unbelievable,” a former White House official, granted anonymity to discuss The Atlantic’s report candidly, said Monday. “These guys all have traveling security details to set up secure comms for them, wherever they are.”

The former White House official pointed out that members of Trump’s Cabinet — including the vice president, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, among others — were likely using personal devices, since in most cases, Signal cannot be downloaded onto official federal devices. This alone creates a host of cybersecurity issues."

Text from article:
It's not too late to stop this train, although it gets more difficult with every day that goes by, every media outlet that rolls over and pays off, every law firm that grovels before Trump. The key — as it has been throughout history — is to mobilize public opinion and pressure politicians to act on behalf of traditional American values of freedom, liberty, and the rule of law.

History suggests that mobilizing 3.5% of the populace of a country is enough to produce change, although recent experience in Belarus and Israel suggests that may depend on how entrenched an authoritarian regime has become, particularly if their legitimacy is enhanced by an external attack (see Reichstag Fire, Moscow Theater, 10/7, and 9/11).

Nonetheless, there are things we can do right now:

— Support independent, progressive media.
— Show up for protests in your area.
— Post your opinions on social media.
— Share this and other like-minded newsletters.
— Reach out to your elected officials from the federal to state to local levels.
— Run for office yourself.
— Join your local Democratic Party and volunteer as a precinct committeeperson.
— Wake up everybody you know.
