Neu bei GrapheneOS: Auf #GrapheneOS kannst du Standorterkennung ohne Satelliten nutzen: Gehe zu Einstellungen > Standort > Standortdienste > Network location. Du kannst zwischen Apples Dienst und einem Proxy dazu wählen. Bald kommt ein eigener Dienst von GrapheneOS und Offline-Unterstützung.

Super! Woran erkenne ich dass es funktioniert? Kurzer Test per Organic Maps hat keine schnellere Location gezeigt. Muss WLAN-Suche an sein?

Worth noting that the way the existing implementation works is that it retrieves Wi-Fi AP data from the server for each nearby network. The service returns nearby Wi-Fi APs for each requested AP to help it get them for the area you're in faster. Our implementation caches up to 10000 Wi-Fi networks in an in-memory least recently used (LRU) cache with 15 minute expiry for the entries. That means it does function semi-offline and has a lot of the code it will need for fully offline use.
