Has anyone ever seen a fair-isle sampler like this before? From the last century or earlier. If so, please get in touch!

I've found two so far, and I'm really keen to find out if this was a common way of recording favourite colours and patterns amongst knitters.

This was my granny's and she used it to record her fav patterns passing through the Hunters of Brora wool mill shop she worked in.

Please share widely, I'd be so grateful!

Shows a roll of fair-isle pattern samples about 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide stood on its end. There is a piece of cardboard with handwritten shade numbers written next to it
Shows the roll slightly unravelled so 3 of the patterns can be seen a bit more clearly. They're the traditional star/flower style that is known in fair-isle knitting
