But takeover of high power machines will presumably be noticed. Seems like outbreak presupposes excellent decentralized computation

Makes me think that 'alignment' people would do well to turn AI to ethical #pentesting and fix all the #zerodays

I’m literally reading the chapter on potential for pandemics being inadvertently caused by a lab leak….on the day US admits Covid was probably a lab leak. Sigh.

When I want to understand how a virus originated, I always turn to "low confidence" assessments from some random bureaucrats in an agency that has no expertise in virology, genetics, or epidemiology.
