- distro: pop OS ("Ubuntu")
- browser: #firefox 120.0.1
- seurity key: #yubikey 5 NFC

'just worked' after setting a #FIDO2 PIN via YubiKey Manager https://support.yubico.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016649039-Enabling-the-Yubico-PPA-on-Ubuntu#01H30DBXGX5RDD4AM7M815GAA3
"just worked" is the PopOS motto
yeahh... did have to do quite a bit of freeze debugging lately tho. could be hardware or something else. did jolt my security a bit!
Worked for me without a pin.
do you have fido2 enabled?
Probably not, but the passkey demo accepted my key
"If you prefer not to be prompted for a PIN, try disabling the YubiKey's FIDO2 function, and see if that eliminates the PIN prompt, while still allowing you to sign in."

I guess there's an inverse relationship between convenience and security.
Makes sense
