I am looking for a #database #reference book or #encyclopedia about #plants 🌱

Preferably as detailed as possible 🔍 Latin name, height, use, temp range, soil & nutrient requirements, etc.

Any leads?

#wikidata
I still find the RHS books really good, i.e. https://www.hive.co.uk/Product/Christopher-Brickell/RHS-Encyclopedia-Of-Plants-and-Flowers/23988812 They are also available as ePubs now
For digital plant data the Plants for a Future dataset is nice.
The (sadly now looking somewhat unloved /a bit shuttered) https://practicalplants.org/ is likely the most open holder of that set. Plus they got some extra data by being a wiki.

Also its nice to see https://www.growstuff.org/ is still going - its built around open data (and open development ? - if not still it was when I followed its early development)
Actually Ken Fern & his family/friends have the temperate plant data he put together back (also more added since) when he did Plants for a Future available from the family website also another data set on tropical plants
