Thousands of civilians trapped in Rafah as Israeli troops move in

Thousands of Palestinians are surrounded in Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city, after Israeli forces encircled a district on Sunday.

Israel ordered the evacuation of the Tel as-Sultan neighbourhood, telling people to leave by foot on a single route to al-Muwasi, a sprawling cluster of tent camps along the coast.
