French multinational retailer Carrefour said yesterday that it will close all its stores in Jordan, a move attributed to an ongoing boycott of brands supporting Israel.
Since 7 October 2023, major international brands have faced international boycotts as a result of public anger of their direct or indirect support for Israel as it bombs Gaza.
Last month fast food chain McDonald’s reported a drop in sales for the second quarter in a row.
