Carrefour ceased operations in Oman two months after closing all of its branches in Jordan, following large-scale boycott campaigns against the company due to its complicity in Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

In the past two years, the BDS movement launched a #BoycottCarrefour global campaign in response to the company providing free gift packages to Israeli soldiers involved in the genocide in Gaza.
