According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 2024 has become the deadliest year on record for humanitarian personnel, with 281 personnel killed globally. Most of them were UNRWA staff killed in the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip, with at least 249 killed to date.
