I followed my own Pixelfed account from my mastodon account and yes, I received the updates. So in principal I say it is working. Why it is not working in your case needs more details (and maybe @FediTips can support).

Maybe it is just not working right now because Pixelfed is being overrun?

It can sometimes take a while for posts to appear if a server is extremely busy. Pixelfed is getting unprecedented amounts of people using it at the moment, so the servers may do weird things 🙂

Once it calms down, you should see your Pixelfed posts appearing normally in Mastodon.
