When my cat brings a chipmunk into the house, she'll ignore it for the longest time, allowing it free run of the house. When she is peckish, however, she reclines at the door of the room it's in. Sooner or later, the chipmunk becomes hungry, becomes desperate, makes a mistake. Then, in less than two seconds, it's over.
When the next chipmunk is released in the house, it must think that its chances are pretty good.
All I needed to know about #capitalism, I learned from that cat.

That's why I'm in favor of disallowing cats to Free Roam.
