The whole idea of "saving the country" seems to be (what do I know) rooted in hate of the Other. And joining forces with the Kremlin will not save us.

We need to be saved from Russian influence, an overarching oligarchy, billionaires recklessly ravaging our data, corruption given free reign and partisan pardon, media bullying, ideological thuggery, political cronyism, and perversion of patriotism and justice. That's how you save the country.
