Despite other things he did, some of which were decent, Biden’s legacy will always be as a supporter and enabler of genocide. Nothing will ever change his guilt in this crime. It’s a blight on him, the Democratic Party, the USA, and our hopes for a world based on humanitarian law.

I wonder if Biden himself reflected on his own legacy, especially after the death of Carter and given how much tributes poured for him. He probably convinced himself that he will be remembered more or less like Carter, but I hope he knows many will remember him as a genocidal monster.

not that I consider Carter a saint. I don't know much about him.

One thing worth knowing about Carter, imo, is his ushering in of neoliberalism under the guidance of David Rockefeller, who tapped him for president after realising the GOP couldn't win after the Nixon stench.

After Carter won, he put most of the Trilateral Commission into his administration, setting the stage for Reagan & the complete oligarchic takeover.
