Big thanks to past me for filling the flasks up so we can have a cup of tea after gathering the Power Cut Supplies together for the evening.

I am super-impressed with myself 😆 Our last big power cut was DAYS and we used the compensation to buy some things that would have been useful, so we are feeling relatively prepared for this, as long as the house stays in one piece 🤞

It's relatively comforting to have some of those things floating around for the big Just In Case. I didn't enjoy spending the money on them but I do look at them gratefully when those weather warnings are issued.

they all seem present and correct. It’s calmed down massively, thank goodness. The wind blew the roof off my neighbour’s tractor!

There's a pot of heartsease that lives on the roof of my shed and it's been there for over a year - I''ve no idea how 😂
