Only just saw that several/all? major UK newspapers have this cover today. Good they are doing it, but what a sign of how bad things are! Also: i only saw this by chance, when leaving supermarket. This alone makes me sad. How i, along with so many others, hardly even register paper copies any more.

Anyway: important campaign on #AI. #UKpolitics

The government is looking to change the law to favour big
tech platforms so they can use British creative content to
power their Al models without our permission or payment.
Let's protect the creative industries - it's only fair.

DON'T STEAL OUR CREATIVITY

THE CREATIVE WORKS OF BRITISH ARTISTS, AUTHORS,
JOURNALISTS, ILLUSTRATORS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, FILM-MAKERS, SCRIPTWRITERS, SINGERS AND SONGWRITERS ARE BEING SCRAPED FROM THE INTERNET BY TECH COMPANIES, BIG AND
SMALL, TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN AI PRODUCTS THAT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO RESHAPE OUR WORLD.

THE GOVERNMENT MUST STAND BEHIND ITS CREATIVE INDUSTRIES. IT'S TIME TO FAIRLY COMPENSATE THE CREATORS

OUR CREATIVITY
THE IMAGINATION OF THE UK'S CREATIVE INDUSTRIES POWERS THE
BRITISH ECONOMY AND SHAPES HOW THE REST OF THE WORLD
SEES US AS A NATION.

BUT MOST OF THOSE COMPANIES ARE TAKING BRITISH CREATIVITY
WITHOUT PERMISSION AND, CRUCIALLY, WITHOUT PAYMENT.
WITHOUT FAIR REWARD, OUR CREATIVE INDUSTRIES SIMPLY
WON'T SURVIVE.

Grim that labour seems to have been so easily duped by AI, and that they are so willing to throw creatives to the dogs with this legislation
Starmer is just another politician who's easilt swayed by power and money
