This is hugely important relating to a miscarriage of justice brought about by an undercover cop #spycops .
If anyone doesn't know what's going on, undercover police infiltrated animal rights, workers and green groups over years.

I’ve been following it. Feels like much of the witness statements should be straight to prison territory…
Collectively, the police seem to have remarkably poor memories!
Denying you remember has been a fantastic defence for so many truly despicable people from Rebekah Brooks, to all the MAGAs, to Boris and the Post Office crims. Etc etc etc.

Works well: if in doubt, say you don't remember

And it's almost impossible for anyone to prove otherwise. I guess that's why it's used so often.
The best attack against that defence is to make them repeat it until they look dishonest. And summarise all the things they - helpfully - couldn't remember. But it's a pain addressing it I believe.

It's laughable. The whole process has made them look both dishonest and incompetent. Which they were.
The sds were clearly making up their reports in order to justify their cushy assignments and discredit the animal rights movement.
Unfortunately the general public won't see this as it's not being widely reported.

Saw a great interview with Channel4 News fella, Krishnan Guru-Murthy. He said there was a dramatic change in about 2015 when it became political policy to just lie and brazen it out.

That lack of accountability is now default for politicians, public sector and corporates.

Our failure to maintain a basic standard of honesty is the open door to fascism.
