I've got sick of #Empire. I don't think I'll watch any longer. It's problem is little consistency with the characters and an unwillingness to develop ideas into long term plots.

Lucious started out evil and everyone wanted to take him down. But the writers fell in love with him, so now he's a hero despite being a murderer and a criminal.

There's a problem of morality on the show. It's not what is done that's good or bad, it's who's doing it that's seen as good or bad ...

... As I've said before, it's like Harry Potter. The Lyons are Griffindor, and can do no wrong. But anyone else doing the same as them is instantly Slitherin and must be destroyed.

For a while now I've been routing for the Lyons' enemies to take them down, and I really enjoyed #ForestWhitaker, who played his part impeccably.

Come season 5, they poorly handled getting rid of him as soon as possible and it was weak.

...
... But a lot of the Lyons' problems are self-inflicted, and it gets to a point where I have less and less patience for them.

From a about season 2 they're complaining about the shareholders and complaining about having to answer to whitey, but all through season 1 Lucious wanted to Empire to be publicly trading.

It's like: You didn't think this through, did you?

It's just the long term plots are a mess.

...
... They seem to get rid of good characters too soon, and I wonder if they are just reacting to audience reactions.

That would explain why evil Lucious is now a hero, and the stories lack consistency.

I mean, you have Lucious holding a grudge against one person who tried to kill him, but making things up with his own son who also tried to kill him.

It's stupid and annoying me too much now.
