Now I am a bit confused. I rely on Firefox and Thunderbird. So I have an active monthly donation to the Mozilla Foundation. Will the Thunderbird devs get anything from that donation? Or would I also have to donate to the for-profit MZLA Technologies Corporation for that to happen? #firefox #thunderbird #mozilla
https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/donate/ for thunderbird development. I'd say don't let the for-profit / not-for-profit labels trip you up. Aim instead at donating to the particular team. (which MZLA Technologies directly sustains the Thunderbird team). Profit/Not-for-profit is usually a term that is used to indicate tax status and the status of paperwork (not which team the donation goes to).

Thank you for the information. I will do just that, and divert half of the donation directly to MZLA Technologies (via the link in Thunderbird...). I hope the money will find its way to them. :)
These donations definitely will find their way to us, and these are what enable the project not only to survive but thrive! Thank you in advance!
