Long overdue new #Introduction (so that I can pin it on my profile!😅)

I'm a landscape & nature photographer in San Diego, California — an incredibly diverse place! I make most of my photos locally. I like grand scenics & nature's small scenes, and am also keen on finding and photographing our native plants.

I've been on Mastodon for over 2 years at this point, and am done with corporate-controlled, centralized social media. The future is federated! Cheers! :)

#Photography #SanDiego
A landscape photo showing a series of interesection mountain ridges receding into afternoon haze. The sky above the mountains has faint, hazy clouds in it. The color palette is a mix of dark brown tones in the foreground to light blue in the distance.
A photo showing a seascape after sunset. Looking north with the camera, indirect light from the evening sky in the west (left in the frame) illuminates a cliff in warm orange tones. In the immediate foreground, a heavily eroded rock has water in shallow depressions. The water of the ocean is rendered smooth with a long exposure time.
An intimate landscape photo showing a barren desert landscape, indirectly illuminated by the evening sky after sunset. The prominent feature are two mud hills, embedded in sparsely vegetated rocky hillsides. The color palette includes pale beige, orange and purple as the landscape takes on the colors of the clear evening sky.
A close-up photo of small, cream-white wildfliowers. The low camera angle (frog perspective) puts the viewer on eye-level with the flower. Much of the detail in the photo is rendered soft, with limited depth of field; only the flower and a few other stems of grass are rendered sharp. The flower is in the shade, behind it is a bright warm section of warm, sunlit yellow green, entirely out of focus.
Beautiful capture of light, color, textures!
