Hi #mastodon #techies - looking for some help please.
I hate having my living room dominated by a TV. So looking to replace with a discrete but reasonably high quality projector to project onto a wall (not short throw). The requirement is to be able to plug in a coaxial cable somehow, also internet for streaming and easy to use - with a remote presumably?. And we are effectively UK - actually #Jersey but same difference here.
Suggestions on kit and set up would be (very) welcome .
Thanks!

Then: coaxial cables are so 90s. Everyone uses HDMI or some wifi-based system.
Last but not least: you have the choice between LED/Laser systems and UHP lamps (basically high pressure arc lamps). The later are brighter but need to be exchanged about every 3000 hours (💰️ ).
And: very cheap projectors are dark and loud.

I've got a cheap travel projector - Mirroir - which is going to be a good test tonight of what we don't want. I think Laser has to be the way to go as the bulb options are looking painful. LG does a TV built-in model which might work. Research continues
