we though to add more audio content type like dj sets but we wanted to focus on more important stuff. What is your question about that ?

NP. I was thinking about serving a niche which is not well understood/served right now.
I used Mixcloud for a long while but enshittifcation took over. I'm self hosting a static site and did use #webmontization for a while.
Switched to #Peertube which is good but it felt like #funkwhale could be better for this?
I was listening to a person talking about funkwhale at #fosdem2025, assume it might be you? Looking for a better scrobbling service than non-floss players. Not a coder sadly

Serving niche music is exactly what funkwhale does o/ If you're a label or an artist and you need to publish your work on your own server to avoid having to paid you're own rights, then you can self-host funkwhale and publish your music on the fediverse and on rss :D

About iffunkwhale is better than funkwhale. It depends what you're willing to do. What specific features you're looking ?
