Should psychedelic therapists have first-hand experience of psychedelics?

Scientists at the School of Psychology at Australian National University don't think so, but I wonder whether THEY have experience of psychedelics?

hmm, requirement does seem strong, but I think it should be disclosed.

I mean, I would ask, and probably would reject a practitioner without firsthand experience unless exceptional justification.

sure. Maybe 'requirement' is too strong. Though I can't see how you can support someone through an experience that you can't subjectively understand.
