Should psychedelic therapists have first-hand experience of psychedelics?

Scientists at the School of Psychology at Australian National University don't think so, but I wonder whether THEY have experience of psychedelics?

'Absent stronger evidence ... requiring trainees to take psychedelic drugs does not seem ethically legitimate.'
