At my university, all lectures are recorded, as a "voice + screen" recording. During my lectures I also do lots of unscripted whiteboard writing and drawing, and this is not filmed.

I am asked to let my whiteboard work also be recorded, for better revision.

My answer: true learning requires a place for free & authentic encounters with the material, a place that is not subjected to the rules of the "I can watch it later" mindset. Let's protect that space.
