S̵a̵i̵n̵t̵ Mount Shasta 😇 #FootpathFriday
Vertical photo of a sunny, sere, but sodden and tamped, footpath banked on either side by dried grasses and the dark gold rushes of the adjacent marsh. The trail curves away from us to our left then wends towards center and the horizon, which reveals a majestic, snowy mountain muffled around the base by a thick white boa cloud and topped with a white halo--a small cap cloud just over the central peak. The sky is a cold, pale, fuzzy winter blue and, near the center of the photo, where the path disappears into horizon, the shadowy dendrites of white oak and willow lean in from the edges of the path like a quiet festival.
