Hey #Brisbane, are we ready for the CYLCONE heading our way this week? 😱
It has already downgraded, so prepare for rain, with a bit of wind.
even a subtropical low can be amazingly damaging :( It's not going to be fun
I know. Cyclones can be nasty, or they can be non-events. Alfred is not showing many signs of veering left...yet. K'gari, Bribie, Moreton, and the Stradbroke Islands are bracing.
Apologies for being offhand. Brissie has probably copped more tropical lows than cyclones. Even Hervey Bay got more TLs than TCs, when we lived there 23 years ago.
The tracking forecast, for what it's worth, is showing it heading straight for the Sunshine Coast / Brisbane

We were actually in NZ when Cyclone Luci made landfall right where we were, and I've been in worse storms in London :) But TLs dump a lot of rain and we're already pretty wet in SEQ :( No need for panic, but it's going to be a pain at best.
One depleted cyclone blew a trampoline 4 streets over, at The Gap.
Storms from the west have been doing more damage to SEQ in the past 10 years.
yup. We get more rain from the north, but the hail and winds come from the west - straight through the Gap :(
incoming moist.
And I just got rid of the last of the mould in my workshop. Lol.
