I saw people on Mastodon today saying essentially this or that won't happen if Trump gets into the White House again because this or that is too outlandish or extreme, that could never happen. Let's not forget that our worst intelligence failures have been failures of imagination. And let's not forget that in a matter of a few months Germany fell completely to a dictator. Whatever you can imagine Trump might be able to do with the levers of power, and how quickly, perhaps you haven't imagined enough.

Just remember than in 2016, nobody predicted that ANY of these things would happen:
- an adjudicated rapist is the #GOP nominee for president
- a convicted felon is the #Republican standard bearer in a national election
- GOP stated policy is to impose 10% or higher tariffs across the board

None of what I listed above is subject to dispute or interpretation, just cold hard facts. As the proverbial frog in a pot of boiling water, the American people ought to know better now.

He signed his first iteration of the Muslim travel ban just one week into his presidency. Anyone that thinks he isn't willing and able to commit atrocities out of the gate in a second term is fooling themselves.

Yeah & surprisingly, it actually took him a few months to get the Russians into the Oval Office to give them secret foreign intel but he was pretty busy in the meantime.
