It is deeply ironic that Donald Trump is talking of seeking to open our NHS health service to American  health companies   The United States has the lowest life expectancy at birth and the highest death rate for avoidable or treatable .

For decades now studies had shown that nearly 30% of administrative costs in a US hospital are related to accounting. The NHS had nearly no such thing, government employees providing a service.

Countries like Germany, Canada, and all those providing #insurance were in a gray area between the #NHS and the US. That is huge overhead of accounting and climbing costs of pharma/bio/med products.

The 2 models between socialized health care and insurance are broadly misunderstood.
