My only issue with #DeltaChat is that it's not compatible with #ProtonMail or #Tutanota. I think that's more of an issue with Proton and Tuta than it is DeltaChat, however.
yes, that is more a "they" issue 😒 if they are making you pay for an email server, at least they should allow you to use the email client of your choice 😮💨
I can definitely understand the reason that they do it. I don't put any on the blame on DeltaChat for that one, but it's definitely unfortunate that they aren't compatible.
What's really unfortunate is that a large part of tech users tend to prefer proton or tuta, so you isolate a lot of potential users. Just an unfortunate situation with no clear answers.
maybe when Delta Chat becomes more popular and a lot of users start asking them for it, they will allow it, in the end it is all a business and they do what is more convenient for their business model
