As big-tech corporates are now starting to snake-sell their exploitative products under the "sovereignty" label we'd like to clarify:

#sovereignty lies in controlling and being able to change communication infrastructure components and apps to your needs, without permission.

Renting a proprietary product running in a proprietary cloud even if some of the proprietary code runs on machines standing on EU ground ... is willfull subordination, not sovereignty. Duh.

I think that's more like freedom. Sovereignty is independence from other countries, as in US will not switch off our services when putin asks them.
AWS, Google, Microsoft and their mobster buddies are scared - and rightfully so. While the EU isn't ready to fully compete with them, there is a movement on every layer of society to create sovereign alternatives.

Those US cloud vendors are desperately trying to push back. Sometimes with painfully funny attempts. Like Microsoft with their Ireland subsidiary. It won't hold.

They've won some battles and they will continue to win some battles. But we must keep continue our efforts - because we can win the war - very much so.

I, for one, won't ever back down. No matter how dark it gets. Because, simply: we will prevail.
Wenn sich doch nur das @bsi mal davon eine Scheibe abschneiden würde....
