Well, what do you know; Thames Water included a charge on customers bills for environmental schemes.... but then many of those schemes have not yet been built/developed.

OFWAT is investigating, but on past experience will likely accept some shabby defence from TW rather than actually (further) sanction them for obtaining money from customers under false pretences (what else would you call it, when all schemes were intended to be completed by next month & will not?)

Thames Water - again

They are now 'warning' that they will go bankrupt without massive increases in English water prices (and no doubt more pollution). The coimpany has debts of more than £16Bn - of course siphoning off money for shareholders has had nothing to do with that.

Nationalise them
